MT concordance
With MT Concordance, you can look for words and expressions in machine translation services. This is useful when there is no match for the entire segment while you are translating a document, and TM Concordance does not help you enough. The results are machine translations of the selected text from the MT services you are using.
When you find an entry that helps, you can insert text into your translation from the Translation results pane.
MT Concordance can also help you find the translation of a word or expression that's not in your term bases or translation memories.
How to get here
- Open a project. Open a document in the translation editor.
MT concordance results appear in yellow at the top of the Translation results pane
What can you do?
- In the translation editor, select the part you're looking for in a source cell.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+K. Or, on the Translation ribbon, click the bottom of the Concordance icon, then choose MT Concordance from the list.
- MT Concordance results appear in the Translation results pane. Each MT service you turned on in the Edit machine translation settings window gives one result.
- Insert the result you want: double-click it, or press Ctrl+1 to use the first suggestion, Ctrl+2 for the second—just like you do with TM matches.
