When you work in an online project, the translator is able to overwrite a translation that the project manager modified with the Translator confirmed status, even if the document’s workflow status is different (i.e. Review 2 in progress).

The Reviewer 2 is able to overwrite a translation that the project manager modified with Reviewer 2 confirmed status, even if the document’s workflow status is different (i.e. undefined).

The translator cannot edit a segment which is in Reviewer 2 confirmed status.

There might be conflicts when you check out an online project at different stages during the project duration, or for synchronization.

No conflict, when:

1. the translator checks out the project and does not edit anything

2. the project manager checks out the project, edits, confirms, and synchronizes it

3. the translator synchronizes

The translator can edit the document, there is no conflict.

Conflict, when:

1. the translator checks out the project, and edits a segment

2. the project manager checks out the project, and edits the same segment

3. the project manager synchronizes

4. the translator synchronizes

The changes from the translator are rejected.

When the project manager and the translator try to edit the same segment at the same time, then whoever synchronizes at last, wins.
