A content connector is a program that connects a content source (such as a folder or a content management system) to memoQ. It is the content connector that can communicate with specific content sources. The content connector also provides a uniform interface to memoQ and memoQ server.

memoQ and memoQ server talk to the content connector when importing and updating documents from the content source. This way memoQ and memoQ server do not have to know how to access specific content sources.

The memoQ content connector service can be downloaded from the Kilgray website. It has a separate setup program, and it does not have to run on the same computer as memoQ or memoQ server. The content connector is a type of intermediary agent between the content source and memoQ or memoQ server:
