Structured text files have internal structure, but they are not tagged or not consistently tagged. Examples are script files (such as .SQL scripts), or settings files (.INI).

These files are plain-text files in the sense that they are readable for human eyes when opened in a plain-text editor. However, only a part of them contains text that can be translated. Here is an example:

From this content, only the text in the DataText lines needs translation. The rest should not be imported, and the DataTextn= labels should not be imported either.

You can import these files using the Regex text filter of memoQ. In the Regex text filter, you can specify regular expressions that match those lines that contain translatable text; and, within those lines, you can specify further regular expressions to tell translatable text from non-translatable code.
