Project templates help you to easily set up a project with pre-defined configurations. Create a local or an online project with a few clicks in using project templates. In project templates, you can configure the project setup such as naming conventions for your projects, resources, users and automated actions. Project templates allow you to automate workflow steps such as pre-translation and running statistics. This saves you time and extra steps. For instance, you do not need to manually run statistics, pre-translate, assign after you created a project. memoQ does it for you automatically.

You can only choose a template before you create the project, and only if you specifically intended to create the project from a template in choosing New Project > New Project From Template on the Project ribbon tab.

How to begin

From the Dashboard, choose a memoQ server if you want to create an online project from a template. Choose My Computer to create a local project from a template.

Then choose New Project > New Project From Template on the Project ribbon tab. From the Manage projects dialog, click the Create local project from template link to create a local project from a template. When you are connected to a memoQ server (you selected memoQ server in the Server URL box), click the Create online project from template link to create an online project from a template.

Use

For a local project:

Click the Create local project from template link.

Choose to create from your local computer or from a content source (when you have set up a content connected project).

Click the Add documents link to add documents. Click the Add folder structure link to add documents being in a folder structure.

Click Next > to select a project template. After you selected a template, you can make adjustments to the template. Click Finish to create the local project using a local project template. memoQ creates the project based on the settings in the project template.
