.NET Resource files (XML, RESX)

.NET resource files are XML files that contain various resources, including text, for .NET programs. Through the .NET Resource files filter, memoQ can process these files.

memoQ can import well-formed, valid, or not entirely well-formed RESX documents.

How to get here

  1. Start importing a .NET resource (RESX or XML) file.
  2. In the Document import options window, select the RESX files, and click Change filter and configuration.
  3. The Document import settings window appears. From the Filter drop-down list, choose .NET resource filter (XML).

What can you do?

.NET resource files are a very specific flavor of XML. memoQ doesn't need configuration options to be able to import them.

Use this window to chain another filter after the .NET resource files filter. For example, there may be tags or other parts within the text. You may need to use the Regex tagger to turn them into protected inline tags.

You may need the "proper" XML filter: If you need to fine-tune how the actual XML is imported, use the regular XML filter instead.

When you finish

To chain another filter (for example, the Regex tagger) after the .NET resource files filter: Click Add cascading filter, and choose the other filter.

To save the settings of the chained filter, and return to the Document import options window: Click OK.

To return to the Document import options window, and not keep any chained filters: Click Cancel.
