Import ignore lists from Word

An ignore list is a list of words that will not be marked as error during spell checking. In Microsoft Word, this is called a custom dictionary. Word stores custom dictionaries in this folder: AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\UProof.

From this folder, you can import Word's custom dictionaries into memoQ's ignore lists.

How to get here

  1. Open the Resource console. Choose Ignore lists.
  2. Under the list, click Import from Word.

The Import from Word window opens.

What can you do?

From the Language drop-down box, choose a language. This is a target language that you spell-check documents in.

Check the check box for each ignore list that you want to import.

When you finish

To import the selected ignore lists from Word, and return to the Resource console: Click Import.

To return to the Resource console, without importing ignore lists: Click Cancel.
