My tasks - Package tasks

You may receive tasks in packages. To complete these tasks, you need to download the package, import it in your copy of memoQ, and translate the documents in the package. When the translation is finished, you need to export a delivery package, and upload it back to memoQwebtrans.

To use packages, you need to have memoQ installed on your computer.

This page shows the project packages that project managers assigned to you on the memoQ TMS.

How to get here

  1. You receive a web address (URL) from your customer. Open this address in a web browser. Normally, this will look like https://memoqserver.mycompany.com/memoqweb or https://memoqserver.mycompany.com/memoqweb/webtrans.

  2. Open the link you received from your customer in a web browser.

    It usually looks like:

    • https://memoqserver.company.com/memoqweb

      or

    • https://memoqserver.company.com/memoqweb/webtrans

  3. Log in using the username and password you received from your customer.

     If you open webtrans for the first time (or after a longer time not visiting the app) it may take a bit longer to load. It's normal and should improve on later visits.

  4. If the My tasks page doesn't open automatically, click the My tasks icon in the left sidebar. The page opens with a list of the documents assigned to you in online projects.

  5. At the top of the screen, under My tasks, click My views. The page displays the views you can work on in online projects.

  6. At the top of the screen, under My tasks, click Package Tasks. The page displays the packages you can work on in online projects.

What can you do?

Find and download a package

The packages are grouped by project. In the package's row, click the Download icon-download icon on the right. Save the package.

See statistics for a task

To see the latest statistics report for the task (if there is one): Click the Statistics icon-stats icon.

Search for a package. Filter or sort the list.

To search the list: Type something into the search bar above the list. Press Enter. If the text you typed can be found in some packages' or documents' name, the list will only show those. To see the whole list again, click the X icon at the end of the search bar.

memoQweb does not know the documents in packages you did not download yet. You can only search for project name in this case.

Close the browser tab where you opened webtrans.
