For example, memoQ AGT can translate a segment when there’s no relevant translation memory, LiveDocs, or terminology data available as context.

We calculate your character usage by adding:

• Plain-text characters in the text you're translating.

• Plain-text characters from context, including TM, LiveDocs, and TB matches.

• 4 characters for each tag in the text, TM, and LiveDocs.

TB matches count as plain text, so tags in TB matches don't count as 4 characters each.

No. You can't transfer trial characters.

Once your trial or current subscription ends, any remaining characters are no longer available.

If you run out of characters, you can't translate more text until you buy additional characters or your subscription renews.

Your usage number includes:

• The source segment you want to translate.

Context is the information that memoQ AGT gets from your TM, LiveDocs, and TB matches.

It counts the source and target characters in these matches, as well as the source characters in the text you're translating. The prompt itself isn't included in the character count. The amount of context depends on the matches available from your TMs, TBs, and LiveDocs.

The total context can contain up to 2,048 characters. This includes source text, reference translations, and glossary entries.

We include the available content in this order:

1. The first reference translation pair.

2. All glossary or terminology entries, including synonyms, until the limit is reached.

3. Additional reference translation pairs, as space allows.

Yes. A segment can contain up to 1,024 characters. Tags aren't counted as text, but each tag counts as 4 characters.

If a segment is longer than 1,024 characters, memoQ AGT leaves it unchanged.
