Introduction

This guide will tell you all about the concepts you need to know to make the best out of your data in memoQ.

What you need to consider, depends on experience:

• Basic: You are not familiar with translation management systems (TMSs), your experience is a bit rusty, or you just want a short overview.

• Advanced: You are familiar with TMSs and need information on features that are specific to memoQ and that will influence your workflow.

Not all topics might be relevant for you, but we recommend to read at least the basic level section, so that you get enough insight before your data migration.

A pilot phase consists of:

1. Implementation of memoQ - new users can get familiar with the tool (do ask questions, test, and play with the tool) and see how to map some of the most important workflows,

2. Migration - at this point, we recommend to have all the data you want to migrate checked and clarified. Re-doing the full migration process can be very expensive (cost and time-wise).
