Project > Advanced assignment

If you need to use more advanced assignment features than what is on the Translations page (that is, assigning users and setting deadlines), this is the page you need to go.

How to get here

  1. Sign in to memoQweb as an administrator or a project manager.
  2. On the Active Projects list, click a project.
  3. At the top of the screen, click the Translations tab.
  4. On the Translations page, select one or more documents.
  5. Above the list, click the Advanced assign link.
  6. The Advanced assignment page opens:

    mqw-nxt-pr-adv-assign

The top row shows the number of documents you are assigning, the project's languages, and the project's scope in segments, words and characters.

What can you do?

Choose one or more roles whose assignments you need to change

Turn on or off the Override existing assignments switch for the Translator, Reviewer 1, and Reviewer 2 roles as needed.

If you did not assign anyone to the selected documents earlier, the switch is on when the page opens – see the Reviewer 2 section in the picture above.

If the selected documents' existing assignments are the same for a role, the switch is off when the page opens. The existing assignments' details appear under the role – see the Translator section in the picture above.

If the selected documents' existing assignments are not the same for a role, the switch is off when the page opens – see the Reviewer 1 section in the picture above. A message warns you that the changes you make here will affect all selected documents. For example, if earlier you assigned some documents to Translator A, and others to Translator B, all of them will be assigned to the translator you choose here.

When you finish

To make the changes and return to the Translations page: At the bottom, click the Change assignments button.

To return to the Translations page without changing anything: At the bottom, click the Cancel link.
