In-country review tool

1. A memoQ TMS administrator or project manager creates new users for the in-country reviewers and adds them to the In-country reviewers group. This can happen in memoQ or in memoQweb.

   You can also add existing users to the group, but they lose their membership in all other built-in groups in that memoQ TMS.

2. A project manager assigns in-country reviewers to documents in a project. This can happen in memoQ or in memoQweb.

   Auto-assign does not work with ICR because the project manager needs to create the configuration manually.

3. When the project manager launches the project, in-country reviewers get emails with links to the documents they are assigned to. To open the assigned docs, they need to click these links.

4. They do the review in the ICR tool, one document at a time. The ICR tool saves progress in real time, so they can jump between different review tasks as needed.

5. When an in-country reviewer is ready with a review, they deliver the document, and it goes to the next workflow step.

1. Sign in to memoQweb as an administrator or a project manager.

2. On the Active Projects list, click a project.

3. At the top of the screen, click the Translations tab.

4. In a document's row, choose an in-country reviewer for the Reviewer 1 or the Reviewer 2 role (you cannot assign two ICR reviewers to the same document).

5. The Configure in-country review window opens. Choose settings and resources for the review task, and add a message to the reviewer.

6. To confirm changes: Click the Apply button.

7. At the end of the document's row, click the More options  button.

8. In the menu's In-country review section, click Open in read-only mode .

You can also divide your document and assign created parts to different reviewers. In memoQ, these newly created parts are called slices.

1. You receive an email from your customer's memoQ TMS, usually with the subject "New project assigned to you" or "New documents assigned to you". In the email, click a link in the "In-country review links for assigned documents" section.

   OR

   You receive a web address (URL) from your customer. Usually, this will look like https://memoq.mycompany.com/memoqweb/icr/projects/project-id/docs/document-id, where project-id and document-id are long identifiers made of numbers and letters. Open this address in a web browser.

2. Sign in with the username and password you received from your customer.

3. The In-country review tool opens, showing the assigned document.

You can check all the review tasks assigned to you on the My review tasks page.

To get there, click the back arrow  next to the document name in the top left corner of the ICR page.

Or, use the memoQ TMS login page if provided by your project manager.

Here you can:

• Click Help  to find additional instructions and help. This documentation page opens, providing more information and guidance.

• Under Settings :

  • Change the display mode - you can choose from System, Dark, or Light.

  • Select the Display language - you can choose from 7 available languages. English is set as a default.

  • Auto-switch to Terms panel - decide if you want to automatically show the Terms section with all the terms you should use when working on a review. By default, this option is turned on. We recommend turning it off when, for example, you want to focus on the comments section only.

• Check all the necessary information about your review tasks: document name, project name, language pair, status, deadline, and file size.

  All the review tasks are sorted by the deadline – the most urgent ones are at the top of the list.

• Click the Filter by dropdown and decide by which status you want to filter your tasks:

  

• Select a review project you want to work on: Click its name.

• To check and download your reference files: Click Reference files . A slider panel appears showing the list of reference materials uploaded to the project by your project manager.

• Find additional instructions and help: Click Help , then click a menu item:

  • Project instructions - a pop-up window appears showing the message from the project manager, your deadline, and what you can do as a reviewer.

    

  • Open tutorial - a brief walkthrough introduces the basic ICR functions.

  • Keyboard shortcuts - a pop-up window appears with the shortcuts you can use when working in ICR.

  • Help - this documentation page opens, providing more information and guidance.

• Under Settings :

  • Change the display mode - you can choose from System, Dark, or Light.

• To format text: Use Bold, Italic, Underline, Toggle case, Superscript, or Subscript options.

  You can also Undo or Redo your changes.

• Under Tags  you can switch between short and long tags. Their default look is configured by the PM.

• Click Tracked changes  to view changes made in your review and decide which changes you want to see - all of them, made only by you, or the final ones. Their default look is configured by the PM.

• Find and replace  text in the source or target language.

  Here you can:

  • Enter the text you are looking for, decide if you want to search in the source or target language, and click Find. This field is case-insensitive.

    All the results are highlighted in orange. You can jump between them by clicking the Up/Down arrow buttons.

  • Enter the text you want to use to replace the current text and click Replace. This field is case-insensitive.

    To undo this action press Ctrl+Z.

  Above the Find button, you can see the cloud icon . It means that your changes are automatically saved on the server.

Click the Terms tab. Here you can see:

• All the terms from TBs selected by the project manager. In the translation editor they are highlighted in blue.

  To add a selected term to your review:

  1. Press Ctrl + a number of the term you want to use (from 1 to 9). You don’t have to select a specific word or phrase.

  2. Double-click the term row.

  3. Click the Insert item   icon.

• Forbidden terms that are crossed out. You can't use them in the review or insert them as regular terms.

• Non-translatables highlighted in gray. They also appear in the Terms list.

  The selected term's or non-translatable's type, origin, and text is visible at the bottom of the tab.

  

Depending on your permissions, you can either edit and comment on your review project or comment only. Permissions are granted by the PM. The rows you can edit are white; the ones you cannot edit are gray. If you are not sure what kind of permission you have, go to Help > Project instructions and check under the As a reviewer: section.

Click the Comments tab. The list shows all the comments added to the document. In the translation editor, commented text is highlighted in green.

Here you can:

• Add a comment about a whole segment - click its Add/view comment  icon.

• Add a comment about a part of the segment - select the text first, a comment field appears with information about the content you want to comment on.

  

  You can also add comments to already commented rows. The Comments list shows how many comments you and others added to each row (your comments are in darker green).

  When you work in the translation editor, you can easily check comment added to the text – hover over the text highlighted in in green, and click View comment above it.

  

  You can also click the Add/view comment  icon. The ICR tool will open comments added to the row you are checking. The number under the icon shows the number of comments for the selected row.

• Edit  a comment. You can edit only your own comments.

• Delete  a comment. You can delete only your own comments.

The Issues tab will show QA errors and warnings.

This tab is not yet available in memoQ 10.3.
