Change pricing strategy (local project)
Use this window to choose a different pricing strategy for your local project.
This works only if the local project is connected to Language Terminal - and you work on Language Terminal as an individual translator.
How to get here
- Open a local project that is connected to Language Terminal.
If the project is not connected: You can connect it from the Overview pane of Project home.
- In Project home, choose Finances.
- To make sure memoQ knows about all the pricing strategies in your Language Terminal profile: Click the Synchronized label at the top.
- On the right, click the money bag icon.
The Change pricing strategy window opens.
What can you do?
Language Terminal stores so-called pricing strategies for you. Pricing strategies usually specify a word rate or an hourly rate, and if there is a word rate, you can also specify fuzzy discounts that you grant to your client. A pricing strategy can also be a flat fee, where you simply type the total amount of money that you wish to receive for your work.
Fuzzy discounts not forced: The above pricing strategies are examples only; they do not come by default with memoQ or Language Terminal. memoQ and Language Terminal do not force you to grant fuzzy discounts to your clients, although the possibility is there.
You must choose from pricing strategies that already exist on Language Terminal. If you need to add a new pricing strategy, visit the Pricing strategies page in your Language Terminal profile. (Open it in a web browser.)
If you make changes to the pricing strategies in Language Terminal: Cancel this window. On the Finances pane of Project home, click the Synchronized label again. Click the money bag icon again to return here.
Click the pricing strategy you wish to use.
When you finish
To use the selected pricing strategy, return to the Finances pane of Project home, and recalculate the prices: Click Save.
To return to the Finances pane of Project home, without changing the prices: Click Cancel.
