Project - Settings - Automated actions

Automated actions are tasks that run automatically at various points in a project. These actions are set in templates that are used to create projects.

For this reason, this page is only available in online projects that were created by a template that has configured automated actions in it.

On this page, you can review the configuration of the automated actions.

How to get here

  1. Sign in to memoQWebNext as an administrator or a project manager.
  2. On the Active Projects list, click the one that you are currently working on.
  3. Click Automated actions on the Settings tab.

What can you do?

Turn off the autopilot

If the autopilot is on, you can see a banner informing you at the top of the page. This will prevent you from making any changes to the settings.

When you create an online project from a template, it will normally run on autopilot. This means that memoQ server automatically assigns translation memories, LiveDocs corpora, and other resources, and automatically sends notifications when a document is assigned or delivered. In addition, memoQ server runs the automated actions whenever the template requires them.

If you want to add or change a translation memory, or change the notification settings, you may turn off the autopilot.

To turn of this feature, click Turn off autopilot in the top right corner of the page. On the Turning of autopilot window, confirm your decision by clicking Turn off autopilot. This action cannot be undone.

View automated actions

You can review the settings under the Automated actions. Usually, automated actions run when a document is imported, reimported, or completed (although there are other times when these tasks run). You cannot turn the automated actions off on this page.
