Edit template - Automated actions

memoQ can run many tasks automatically at different points in a project.

For example, memoQ can automatically pre-translate documents, and run statistics on them after they are imported.

This works for both local and online projects, but automated actions require a project template - you have to first create and configure a template, and then create a project from that template.

How to get here

  1. Open the Resource Console Resource console icon..

To set up a template for online projects or resources: Choose your memoQ TMS at the top of Resource console, then click Select Select icon..

  2. On the left, click Project templates Project templates icon..
  3. Select the template you want to edit.
  4. Under the list, click Edit.
  5. On the left, click Automated actions.

  6. Click the Project automation tab if you don't see it at first.

Automated actions pane of the Edit project template window showing: on the right all the possible panes you can use (Name and languages, Online project settings, Livedocs, Translation memories, Term bases, Muses, Settings, People, Automated actions), in the middle there are three tabs (Project automation (open), Script before import, Script after export), on the left there are Add, Settings, Remove, Move up and Move down buttons. At the bottom, there are OK, Cancel, and Help buttons.

What can you do?

When you finish

To save the project template, and return to Resource console: Click OK.

Possible next step: After you finish working on the template, close the Resource console, and create a project from the template.

To continue working on the project template: choose another category, and fine-tune other settings.

To return to Resource console, and not save the project template: Click Cancel.
