Discover memoQ 9.8
These are the most important new features of memoQ 9.8.
Regular expressions can be frightening at first glance, but they are a very powerful tool for anyone who works with text. Our new Regex Assistant gives at least three kinds help to those memoQ users who are not yet familiar with regexes. First, in the regex library, it offers a range of useful built-in regexes that can be instantly inserted wherever you can use a regex in memoQ. Second, with the regex cheat sheet, it allows users to easily create their own regexes. Third, it lets users save their own regexes into the regex library - or even import regexes from other people.
The Advanced Find and Replace window and the translation editor's Filter bar are critical in translators' everyday work. We rearranged and cleaned them up for easier use.
The XLIFF 2 filter now handles content marked with <mrk translate = "no"> in a more user-friendly way. The XML filter has a new setting for keeping or changing xml:lang attribute values.
To handle authentication in a more secure and flexible way, the Content Connector server module is now handling encryption of connection data for the Git connector, not the Content connector client app. This means that a "new" Content Connector server requires a "new" Content Connector client, and vice versa. To make things easier, we changed both product's version numbers to 3.0. For Content Connector server 2.x (installed with memoQ server 9.7 and older), you should use Content Connector client 1.4.
