Using Phrase connectors

You can use a Phrase connector to:

• import TMs and TBs from your Phrase instance

• pretranslate files in Phrase projects

To import TMs/TBs from Phrase:

See Importing corpora from CAT tool servers

To pretranslate files in Phrase projects:

1. Set up the connection

1. Set up a new project, or edit an existing one in globalese by memoQ.

2. Under CAT server connection, select a Phrase connector.

3. Under CAT project, select the Phrase project you want to associate the globalese by memoQ project with.

4. Click Save.

The globalese by memoQ project is now associated with a Phrase project, so you can move project files between the two.

2. Retrieve Phrase files for pretranslation

1. Choose Files > Retrieve Phrase files for translation.

2. globalese by memoQ lists all the files in the associated Phrase project. Select the ones you want to retrieve for pretranslation.

3. Click Retrieve files.

You can now manage the Phrase files in the globalese by memoQ project.

Note: these files are duplicates of the original Phrase files, and the link is indicated by the Phrase icon next to the file name. Deleting the files from the globalese by memoQ project does not affect the files in the Phrase project.

4. Deliver pretranslated files to Phrase

Once the files have been translated in globalese by memoQ, the Deliver option becomes available. You have three options to deliver pretranslated files:

• Select the Deliver option next to the file on the project page.

• Click Deliver on the file page.

• Choose Files > Deliver translated Phrase files on the project page. This will deliver all pretranslated Phrase files that have not been delivered before.
