Create a term base entry in memoQ editor

While you're translating in memoQ editor, you can create new term base entries (manually or by using a keyboard shortcut) without leaving your document. This allows you to capture terminology immediately when you see it.

Want to add terms fast without opening a window or entering extra details? Select both the source and target terms in the text, then press Ctrl+Q. This adds only the selected terms and their translation to the term base and skips the Create term base entry window.

How to get here

  1. Open a document in the memoQ editor.

  2. Select a term in the source or target segment (optional).

  3. Go to Tools, and choose Create term base entry from the dropdown list. You can also press Ctrl+ E.

The Create term base entry pop-up window opens.
