First steps with memoQ AGT

After you receive the confirmation email, you can log in to memoQ AGT.

Below, there's the current character usage - translated characters and remaining characters. On the right, below the Remaining characters field, there is the field where you can create an API key, with the Create API key button next to it. Below, there is the API keys title and the information that An API key is needed to authorize the Adaptive Generative Translation plugin in memoQ. You can create one using the button above.

Here you can:

  • Check your current character usage – translated and remaining characters.

    Remember that these usage numbers also include the LLM prompts in addition to the character count in your project. The prompt usually contains around 300 characters.

Tips and Tricks

You should know that:

  • memoQ AGT works better with more resources and bigger translation volumes.

  • If you do not have a lot of resources, try to pre-translate your document in sections.

    For example, the first section will cover the segments 1-10, the second section segments 11-30, and the third section segments 31-70. This way you can leverage from your own translations.

  • Your translation memory should follow your terminology. If your TM contains wrong or old terminology pre-translation can use it.

  • Translation memories are the most important resources you can use.

  • Term base matches are always send to memoQ AGT.
