Accessibility at memoQ

At memoQ, we believe everyone should have equal access to technology and content. Our goal is to make memoQ inclusive and easy to use for all, regardless of ability.

For us, accessibility is not a one-time achievement, it’s an ongoing process. We’re continuously making accessibility an integrated part of its design, copy, and engineering processes, focusing on improving critical user journeys, achieving WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, and creating highly usable experiences for everyone.

This statement applies to memoQ's web applications and related support materials.

How we make it better

We started our accessibility journey in 2021. Since then, we’ve been testing our products internally and working closely with external testers and translators. Through this ongoing cooperation, we have gained valuable insights into the diverse needs of our users and have implemented meaningful improvements across our platforms and materials.

We’re committed to providing an inclusive experience for everyone using memoQ products, that’s why:

  • We have a dedicated accessibility team continuously improving our platforms.

  • We perform both manual reviews and automated testing to catch and resolve accessibility issues early.

  • We collaborate with external assistive technology users (Samira Wanzenried (Finnova) and Iman Refaat (University Lecturer and Localization Consultant at Pharos University in Alexandria)) accessibility experts to incorporate real-world feedback into our design and development.

Standards we follow

We are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA) and other important accessibility acts:

  • Section 508: U.S. Federal Accessibility Standard

  • European Accessibility Act

  • Accessible Canada Act
