In this dialog, you can control the behavior of the tauyou plugin settings for machine translation. tauyou is a web-based machine translation tool that can be used through their portal or their API. The plugin is a domain-oriented machine translation in fields such as medical, legal, pharma, IT, automotive, and engineering.

Supported languages:

Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, English, Galician, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, etc.

Supported formats:

TTX, TMX, SDLXLIFF, XLIFF, MQXLIFF, PPF, Microsoft Office formats (TXT, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX, RTF), OpenOffice (ODT), InDesign, HTML

How to begin

In the memoQ application menu, go to Options > Options. Alternatively, click the Options icon in the Quick Access Toolbar. The Options dialog appears. Click the Machine translation category, select the tauyou MT plugin, click Options.

Use

On the Credentials/Url tab, enter your user name and password in the User name and Password fields. If you have none, visit the tauyou website. Enter a URL in the Url field.

On the Domains/Language pair tab, click the Refresh list button to retrieve a list of domains. Then select a domain as well as the source and target language for it.

On the Other options tab, check the Send plain text only (no tags) check box if you only want to send your text for machine translation.

Navigation

Click OK to save the settings. Click Cancel to leave this dialog without making changes.

Check the Enable plugin check box, then click Apply or OK.
