My tasks - Online tasks

This page shows the translation and review tasks that project managers assigned to you on the memoQ TMS.

Sometimes you may also see package tasks here. If your user can receive both online and package tasks, any unprocessed package tasks will appear in this list as well. You can work on them directly without importing the packages into memoQ on your computer. If you’re not sure whether you should do this, check with your project manager first.

How to get here

  1. You receive a web address (URL) from your customer. Open this address in a web browser. Normally, this will look like https://memoqserver.mycompany.com/memoqweb or https://memoqserver.mycompany.com/memoqweb/webtrans.
  2. Open the link you received from your customer in a web browser.

    It usually looks like:

    • https://memoqserver.company.com/memoqweb

      or

    • https://memoqserver.company.com/memoqweb/webtrans

  3. Log in using the username and password you received from your customer.

     If you open webtrans for the first time (or after a longer time not visiting the app) it may take a bit longer to load. It's normal and should improve on later visits.

  4. If the My tasks page doesn't open automatically, click the My tasks icon in the left sidebar. The page opens with a list of the documents assigned to you in online projects.

  5. At the top of the screen, under My tasks, click My views. The page displays the views you can work on in online projects.

What can you do?

In memoQweb, project documents automatically open in memoQ editor. You can switch between editors at any time: to return to the classic editor, click Switch back in the banner, or click Try the new editor in the webtrans header to reopen memoQ editor.

  • See discussion topics related to a task

    If someone opened a discussion topic for this document (that is, not a segment in the document), you can click the Discussion icon-topics icon to go to the Discussions page.

  • See statistics for a task

    To see the latest statistics report for the task (if there is one): Click the Statistics icon-stats icon.

  • Change how this page looks

    At the top of the screen, click the Customize appearance  icon. The Customize appearance pane opens.

    Here you can:

    • Show document paths - this checkbox allows you to see the documents' path before the file names.

    • Group by projects - use this option to group documents by projects. This option is selected by default.

      If you clear it, memoQ shows all views in a flat list.

    • Choose the unit of document size. To do that, under Unit, choose segment, word, or character.

    • Change Density. It allows you to choose how your page should look like and how much information you want to see. You can choose from Compact, Standard (selected by default), or Comfortable.

    • Show or hide columns in the document list. You can choose from Number, Name, Target language, Role, Status, Version, Delivered, Progress, Deadline, Size, .

    To save your changes: Click Apply.

    To close the pane and without changes: Click the X icon in the top right corner.

    To go back to the original settings, click Reset to default.

Close the browser tab where you opened webtrans.
