Welcome to memoQ AGT guide
memoQ Adaptive Generative Translation (AGT) is an AI-driven translation automation technology developed by memoQ. It was designed for enterprises with extensive linguistic resources but can also benefit LSPs.
memoQ AGT is a part of memoQ, not a standalone tool. To use it, you need a memoQ TMS subscription.
How does it work?
When you click the Translate with AGT button in memoQ desktop app, it connects to memoQ AGT’s service, which sends a prompt to the LLM running in Azure OpenAI.
We send instructions to a large language model (LLM) to translate sentences. To improve the results, we also show the LLM the translations of similar sentences from the translation memory (TM).
If you don’t have a lot of data in translation memories, you can use TM+ or LiveDocs and easily build up your corpus from previous translations. Thanks to instant domain adaptation, the translation results are tailored to your existing language resources - translation memories, term bases, and aligned documents.
When using memoQ AGT, you don't need to adjust or retrain your language models.
