Project - Resources

When you open the project's Resources page, you see the TMs added to the project, grouped by the project's target languages.

The list shows: 

• The resource's name,
• if it's a working, a master, or a reference translation memory, and
• its languages.

To see a translation memory's metadata and context settings: Hover over its information icon.

Search for a resource. Filter the list.

To search the list: Type something into the search bar above the list. Press Enter. If the text you typed can be found in some resources' name, the list will only show those. To show all resources again: Click the X icon at the end of the search bar.

To filter the list by metadata: Click the Filter  icon. In the Filter translation memories pane, choose values from the Client, Project, Subject, and Domain dropdowns as needed. Click the Done button. Or, to clear your choices: Click the Reset filters link. To close the pane: In the top right corner, click the X icon.

Create a TM and add it to the project

In the row of a target language, Click the Create link. The Resources > Translation memories > Create page opens. After you create the new TM, it appears in the list as a reference TM.

Add existing TMs to the project

In the row of a target language, Click the Add link. In the Add translation memory pane, check and clear the translation memories' checkboxes as needed. To add the selected TMs: Click the Add button. To discard your choices: Click the Cancel link.

If the list is too long: Above the list, start typing into the search bar. You will only see items that match the characters you typed.

Set a translation memory as working, master or reference TM

For every TM, the list shows their current type (Reference, Working, Master, or Working/Master).

To change a TM's type: Click the type, and in the Set type of TM pane, select or clear the checkboxes as needed. To make a TM a reference TM, clear both checkboxes.

Remove translation memories from the project

To remove one translation memory: In its row, click the Remove  button.

To remove two or more translation memories: Select their checkboxes , and above the list, click the Remove from project link.

The resource is not deleted: When you remove a resource from the project, it stays on the server. You can add it to the project later, if needed.

More options

To reach these actions: In the resource's row, click the More options  menu.

• To edit the resource's properties: Click Edit properties. The TM's Properties page opens.
• To import entries into the TM: Click Import from TMX/CSV . The TM's Import page opens.
• To export a TM: Click Export to TMX . Your browser's Open or Save window opens. Save the file.

Create a TB and add it to the project

In the row of a target language, Click the Create link. The Resources > Term bases > Create page opens. After you create the new TB, it appears in the list as a reference TB.

Add existing TBs to the project

In the row of a target language, click the Add link. In the Add term base pane, check and clear the term bases' checkboxes as needed. To add the selected TBs: Click the Add button. To discard your choices: Click the Cancel link.

When you add a Qterm TB: Select a filter on the Select filterswindow and click Add. Click Discard to return to the termbase list.

If the list is too long: Above the list, start typing into the search bar. You will only see items that match the characters you typed.

Set a term base as a target TB. Set a term base's rank.

For every TB, the list shows their current type (Target or Reference). Translators can add terms to the target TB. The other TBs only give suggestions.

To set a reference TB as target: Click the type, and click the Set as target button. Or, to not change its type: Click the Cancel link.

There is only one target TB in a project: If you set one as target, the previous target becomes a reference TB.

Translators first get suggestions from the TB on the top of the list, then the 2nd one, and so on. To change a TB's rank: In its row, click and drag the Move  icon up or down as needed.

Include a term base in QA or leave it out

To make webtrans not check terms from one or more term bases when doing QA: Clear their Use in QA checkboxes.

Remove term bases from the project

To remove one term base: In its row, click the Remove  button.

To remove two or more term bases: Select their checkboxes , and above the list, click the Remove from project link.

The resource is not deleted: When you remove a resource from the project, it stays on the server. You can add it to the project later, if needed.

More options

To reach these actions: In the resource's row, click the More options  menu.

• To export a TB: Click Export terminology . The TB's Export page opens.

The list shows:

• its Last modified and Last used dates,
• and how many entries it has.

To see a LiveDocs corpus's metadata: Hover over its information icon.

To change how this page looks:

1. At the top of the screen, click the Customize view  icon next to the filter dropdown. The Customize view pane opens.

2. To show or hide columns in the document list: Check or clear the Name, Languages, Last modified, Last used, and Entries checkboxes as needed.

3. To change the order of columns: On the right side of the pane, drag the columns' handles as needed.

4. To save your changes: Click the Apply button. To close the Customize view pane and not save your changes: Click the X icon in the top right corner. To reset all settings: Click the Reset to default link.

Add existing LiveDocs corpora to the project

On the right side of the list header, click the Add link. In the Add LiveDocs pane, check and clear the corpora's checkboxes as needed. To add the selected corpora: Click the Add button. To discard your choices: Click the Cancel link.

If the list is too long: Above the list, start typing into the search bar. You will only see items that match the characters you typed.

Remove LiveDocs corpora from the project

To remove one corpus: In its row, click the Remove  button.

To remove two or more corpora: Select their checkboxes , and above the list, click the Remove from project link.

The resource is not deleted: When you remove a resource from the project, it stays on the server. You can add it to the project later, if needed.

See the contents of a LiveDocs corpus

To see what documents are in a LiveDocs corpus, click its name in the list. The corpus's page opens with the list of documents.

To reach these actions: In the top right corner, click the More options  menu.

• To download completed documents from the project: Click Export project. Your browser saves the files in a ZIP package into its regular "Downloads" folder.

• To connect the project with a customer portal request: Click Link to customer request. In the Link to customer request window, choose the request from the dropdown.

  To continue: Click the Link project button. To discard your changes: Click the Cancel link.

  Works only if there are requests not linked to projects on the memoQ TMS. Else, the dropdown is empty. Learn more about requests here.

• To archive a project and move it into the Archived projects page: Click Archive. To open an archived project, you need to restore it from the archive.

  On the Archive project window, set the file name template. To insert a placeholder: Click the Insert link, and choose a placeholder from the list.

  To continue: Click the Archive project button. To discard your changes: Click the Cancel link.

• To remove the project and move it to the Projects in trash page: Click Move to Trash. There, you can restore or permanently delete the project.

  There is no confirmation window: When you click Move to Trash, the project is removed, and you return to the Active projects list.

• To open the project in the memoQ desktop app: Click Continue in memoQ.

  To create a local copy of the project for working with its content: Click the Check out project button. In memoQ, the Project home - Translations tab opens.

  To open the online project for management: Click the Manage project button. The memoQ online project - Translations tab opens.

When you launch an online project, you start its notification chain: memoQ TMS sends an initial e-mail to all participants. The e-mail contains details about accessing the online project. Later, when there is a change in the workflow status of a document, memoQ TMS sends further e-mails to the participants and the project manager.

To launch a project: In the top right corner, click the Launch button. The word Launched with a blue background will appear under the project's name. You cannot undo launching a project.

You wrap up a project if you do not expect any more work on it. If you use project templates, you can set up automatic actions that happen when you wrap up the project.

Set up templates in the memoQ desktop app. Then, you can create projects using those templates in memoQweb. To learn more, see the topic about editing project templates.

To wrap up a launched project: In the top right corner, click the Wrap up button. To continue: Click the Wrap up project button. To close the confirmation window without wrapping up the project: Click the Cancel link. You cannot undo wrapping up a project.

To see project-related notifications and communication: In the top right corner, click the bell icon (). In the Notifications pane, you can see notifications about missed deadlines, failed automatic actions, lost content connection, etc.

To remove a notification from the list: Click the Dismiss link under it. To remove all notifications: Above the list, click the Dismiss all link.

To close the pane, click the X icon.
