Deploy memoQ TMS

These pages describe how you can plan, install, and configure memoQ TMS.

After you install and configure memoQ TMS, you may need to install memoQweb and customer portal.

How to get here

For the first time:

1. Log in to the memoQ TMS computer through Remote Desktop.

2. Download the memoQ TMS setup package from our Downloads page: Click the orange Download button, and in the memoQ TMS row, click the Download link.

3. When the download is complete, launch the file you downloaded.

4. Windows may ask you to confirm to run the file. Click Yes or Run.

5. The memoQ TMS deployment tool is installed on the server.

6. The memoQ TMS Deployment Administration window opens. You need the topmost section (memoQ TMS):

   

If memoQ TMS, memoQweb, customer portal, or memoQ content connector is already installed:

1. Log in to the memoQ TMS computer through Remote Desktop.

2. Check if the computer is prepared for installing memoQweb. To learn more: See Plan and prepare memoQweb installation.

3. Open the Start screen or the Start menu: Press the Windows key.

4. Type memoQ, and wait for the results to appear.

5. In the list, click memoQ TMS deployment tool.

6. Windows may ask you to confirm to run the program. Click Yes or Run.

7. The memoQ TMS deployment tool window opens. You need the topmost section (memoQ TMS):

   

What can you do?

You need a license: Before you install memoQ TMS, you need a license for it. If you do not have one, or you are not sure, contact memoQ Zrt.

To create a new memoQ TMS system, follow the steps below. To learn more, read the corresponding topics (click the links):

1. Before you do anything: Plan your memoQ TMS system carefully .
2. Prepare the server computer for memoQ TMS.
3. Install memoQ TMS.
4. Activate your memoQ TMS license .
5. Configure the server, configure custom code execution from project templates, change the service user, or reset the administrator's password.
6. Start the memoQ TMS service: In the memoQ TMS section, click Start memoQ TMS.

Troubleshooting: After a few seconds or maybe a minute, the word Running must appear in a little window. Then the Start memoQ TMS link must turn into the Stop memoQ TMS link. If this does not happen, the memoQ TMS service could not start. Most of the time, this happens because memoQ TMS is not activated. You may also need to look at the Event viewer. To maintain an existing memoQ TMS system, you can do the following. To learn more, read the topic for each item:

• Upgrade memoQ TMS to a new version
• Configure memoQ TMS
• Configure custom code execution in online project templates
• Configure the Business Analytics service
• Back up memoQ TMS
• Schedule backups of a memoQ TMS
• Restore memoQ TMS from a backup
• Repair memoQ TMS if it cannot start or it does not work as expected
• Do database maintenance on memoQ server's SQL database
• Restore a previous version of memoQ TMS
• Reset the memoQ TMS administrator's password if it was forgotten
• Run memoQ TMS in the name of a different Windows user

When you finish

You may need to install or configure memoQweb or customer portal.
